Frequently asked questions

What skills will my child develop?

Students will continue building proper technique while improving intonation, bow control, rhythm, music reading, and musical expression. They'll also begin working on more advanced repertoire and technical exercises. We will work out of the Suzuki Book.

Can students prepare for auditions or youth orchestra?

Yes. As students progress, lessons can be tailored to support auditions, school orchestra requirements, and recital preparation.

What materials will my child need?

Students should have their own properly sized violin, bow, shoulder rest, and any assigned method books or sheet music. I'll let you know exactly what materials are needed.

Can students move into the Concert Master Program?

Absolutely. Once students have developed strong intermediate skills and are ready for more advanced technique and repertoire, they may transition into the Concert Master Program with a score of 80% or more in a Suzuki playing exam. Students may also progress by finishing Suzuki book 3 or 4
